In a normal deck of cards, there are 4 Kings. This is precise because every suit comes with a single value card, Ace via King, and that is also why each suit comes with a single King. Now, there are basically 4 Suits in a standard deck. This obviously means that, in total, there are four Kings in a deck.

The 4 Kings are as follows,

  1. King of Diamonds,
  2. King of Hearts,
  3. King of Clubs, and
  4. King of Spades

The Clubs and Spades are 2 black suits in a standard deck, while the Diamonds and Hearts are the 2 red suits. So, obviously, you can understand that there are 2 Black Kings – the King of Clubs and Spades. And then there are 2 Red Kings – the King of Hearts and Diamonds.

There are twelve Jacks, Queens, and Kings in a deck of 52 cards. These cards are also known as Court Cards or Face Cards. Here, the number is twelve simply because each individual suit comes with 1 of each value card – from the Ace to the King. This is indicative of how each suit has one King, Queen, and Jack.

In that case, in a standard deck, the total number of suits happens to be four – Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, and Hearts.

This basically means that every individual suit comes with one King, one Queen, and one Jack. That is basically 3 cards for each one of the suits – a complete total of four suits, then makes a total of twelve Face cards in a standard deck.
