Something almost tragic happened at the parking lot of Rivers Casino on the morning of 4th November (Saturday), as per the police.
Officials said at about 12:52 a.m., a Des Plaines officer who was responsible for patrolling the parking lot of the casino was randomly flagged down by an individual requesting an ambulance.
The initial reports revealed that a man whose age is not known was suffering from a harmless and non-threatening gunshot injury on his leg. The officer provided the man with first aid while fire officials also responded to the scene. After that, the officials rushed the victim to the local hospital.
The River Casino released a statement that mentioned how a patron discharged a gun accidentally inside their car in the parking lot. This, in turn, led to one of the car’s passengers getting wounded.
Three people, including the victim himself, were then identified. Currently, the incident is under investigation. A spokesperson, however, mentioned that no weapons were there inside the casino.
